Accessibility Statement

Provenance Revue aims to be usable by everyone, including visitors using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, and reduced-motion settings.

Our target

We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice, this site is designed with:

• Full keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link.
• Semantic headings and landmarks on every page.
• Text contrast meeting AA ratios across the archival palette; decorative brass details are never the sole carrier of information.
• Form labels that remain visible, with errors described in text and associated with their fields.
• Touch targets of at least 44 pixels.
• Motion limited to subtle transitions, disabled entirely when reduced motion is requested.
• Alt text that describes artifacts editorially — publication, composition, and context — without gratuitous description of imagery.

Known limitations

The archive contains scans of mid-century printed pages. We provide bibliographic metadata and, progressively, transcriptions of tables of contents; full text transcription of historical pages is a long-term effort, so some scanned content is currently image-only.
