What about damp, dusty, or smoke-affected material?

Usually still fine. Tell us honestly what we are walking into; hazards change how we handle material more often than whether we take it. Active mold or pest infestation we assess case by case.

Can you handle stairs and a garage?

Yes. Tell us in advance so we bring the right help and allow the right amount of time.

Can you come on short notice?

Sometimes. We reply within one business day and will give you a real date rather than string you along — if we cannot make your window, you will know immediately and can plan around it.

What counts as paper

Books of every kind, magazines, newspapers, catalogs, manuals, trade journals, sheet music, maps, timetables, programs, photographs, negatives, slides, albums, letters, and the accumulated contents of a filing cabinet nobody has opened since 1988.

Not furniture, textiles, electronics, or general household goods — and not anything whose ownership is unclear.

Making your client look good

Organizers in particular are often working with someone in the middle of a hard year. “The books went to a preservation archive, and here is the note confirming it” is a genuinely better outcome than a disposal receipt, at exactly the same cost to you. Anonymity in our public records is available to any source, permanently, if that is what they prefer.
