A sentence and a few phone photographs. “Two rooms of books and about forty boxes of magazines” is a complete description as far as we are concerned.

Date, window, access details, and scope — in an email you can forward to your client or put in the file.

We load what we agreed to take and leave the space clear of it. Sorting happens at the archive, not on your floor.
Nothing, and sometimes less than nothing
There is no evaluation fee, no pickup fee, and no haul charge. If a collection contains material with genuine value — and mid-century magazines, technical manuals, and specialist runs surprisingly often do — we tell you what we see and we pay for it, with terms in writing before anything moves. An estate that expected a dumpster invoice occasionally ends up with a cheque instead.
What we will not do is guess high to win the job. An evaluation is an informed opinion, not an appraisal, and “this is common, but we will still take it away for free” is an answer we give often and without apology.

Arizona in person, nationwide by arrangement
Provenance Revue is based in Arizona, where we inspect and collect in person and can usually reach a property quickly. Outside Arizona we arrange and pay for shipping, or travel for collections large enough to justify it. Tell us the volume and the location and we will tell you plainly which of those applies — including when the honest answer is that we are not the right call.

- What kinds of printed material do you take?
- Books, magazines, newspapers, catalogs, manuals, trade journals, photographs, and paper ephemera. Mixed and bulk material is normal — sorting is our job, not yours.
- What does it cost me?
- Nothing. There is no evaluation fee, no pickup fee, and no haul charge. Where material has real value, we say so and we pay for it.
- How quickly can you come?
- We reply to professional inquiries within one business day. Scheduling depends on volume and distance, and we will give you a real date rather than a maybe.
- Do you actually show up?
- Yes, and we know why you are asking. We confirm the date and window in writing, and if something changes on our end you hear it from us before you hear it from an empty driveway.
- Do I have to sort or box anything first?
- No. Take the photographs from wherever you are standing. Boxes, shelves, piles, and closets are all fine.
- Will you take everything, or cherry-pick the good items?
- We agree the scope before we come. If we commit to a room, we clear the room — we do not pull the four good boxes and leave you the other thirty.
- What if some of it is worthless?
- Most of it usually is, commercially. That is not a problem: removal is free either way, and the documentary value of ordinary print is exactly what an archive exists for.
- Do you work outside Arizona?
- Yes. We are based in Arizona and travel for larger collections; elsewhere we arrange shipping at our cost. Tell us the volume and location and we will tell you which applies.
